4 Days Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech:

On the first day of your 4-day Marrakech desert tour, you will be picked up from your Riad/Hotel in Marrakech by your Sahara desert excursion driver/guide at around 8:00 AM. The journey begins towards the Dades valley. On the way, we will pass through the Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi Ntichka Pass (2260 meters in altitude). There will be opportunities for short breaks to take pictures and admire the stunning panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and traditional Berber villages.
After that, we will visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This castle has been used as a filming location for several famous movies, including Gladiator, The Mummy, and Sahara with Penelope Cruz. We will take a walking tour to discover the culture and beauty of this site, and have the option for a lunch break in town.
Continuing the tour, we will head to Ouarzazate, known as the "Gate of the Desert" and "Hollywood of Africa." Our next stop is the Roses Valley, where we will pass through the Skoura oasis and its palm groves, with more than 700,000 palms and many kasbahs. This area is also famous for its damascene roses, which are used for cosmetic purposes, including rosewater. Every year in May, the festival of roses is held here.
The first day of the tour will conclude in the Dades valley, where we will spend the night in a Riad after reaching the Dades Gorges.

On the second day of your 4-day Marrakech desert tour, after a nutritious breakfast, we will embark on a journey towards the Sahara desert. Our first stop is at the Todra gorges, where you will take a short walk in the Todra valley, also known as the Grand Moroccan Canyon. This area is a popular spot for rock climbing, with its walls rising up to 300 meters in the narrowest part.

Lunch will be scheduled in Tinghir or another location of your choice. Afterward, we will continue to the Berber village of Erfoud, known for its beauty and its use as a filming location for movies like The Mummy and Prince of Persia. In Erfoud, you will have the chance to visit a workshop that produces fossils and marble from the area's famous fossilized marbles.

Before sunset, we will arrive in Merzouga, where you will embark on a two-hour camel trek excursion. The journey ends with a stay at a Berber-style desert camp, where you will enjoy a beautiful sunset and dine under a starry sky while listening to Berber drum music and warming yourself by the campfire. This will be an unforgettable desert experience, and you may also try sandboarding if you are interested. Overnight will be spent in a private Berber tent.

On the third day of your 4-day Marrakech desert tour, you will wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After a delicious breakfast and a refreshing shower in the camp, you will have the option to return to Merzouga village by either camel or 4WD jeep.

Our next stop is in Rissani, where we will visit its traditional market, considered the largest in southern Morocco. We will then continue our journey through Alnif, Tazarine, and the Draa Valley, taking in the stunning oasis palm trees and the Amridil Kasbah. Our final destination for the day is Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night in a charming riad.

On the fourth and final day of the 4-day Marrakech desert tour, we will visit the renowned Kasbah of Taourirt. Then, we will make our way back to the red city of Marrakech, traveling through the high Atlas Mountains and over the Tizi N’tichka pass.

Along the way, you will have the opportunity to admire the picturesque Berber villages and farms that are seamlessly integrated into the stunning mountain landscape. Upon our arrival in Marrakech, our 4-day Morocco desert trip will come to an end
